I didn’t post yesterday, waah! Wacky day with triple-OT hockey game blowing up our already-late newscast, so… no time no time.
That’s OK, I know folks will forgive me. Anyway, will try to get in some blogging time later this week.
By the way, we had another great month in May at KTVZ.COM, with 1.23 million page views, still leading our much-bigger sister stations – and as News Director Mike Bothwell pointed out, we’ve doubled our views from a year ago, when we made the big switch to World Now. We had one wild day last week with 25,000 views of comments alone – the day after that teen police chase/gunfire/suicide tragedy. If I knew where they came from, I’d try to get them all to visit more often!;-)

Sometimes I wonder about some of these bloggers…whether or not they have any lives outside the blogosphere. So, it’s comforting to know that you have a busy life just like the rest of us. In fact, I already knew that; it’s apparent that your many-faceted job stretches you in every direction.
Now, you have stretched yourself further with this new blog which comes with it the inherent obligation to post daily. The truth is that one must sometimes sacrifice one obligation in order to save another.
So, in my mind, when a blogger never misses a day of blogging, I figure he simply has no other more important obligations in his life. And I’m not sure that is respectable nor virtuous, given that blogging is often correlated with self-absorption.
Needless to say, then, you are forgiven, and admired, for breaking the string. No biggie. Have a great day, Barney!
