Testing 1-2-3 – is this thing on?
Well, yes and noooo.
You see, for reasons I won’t dive too deeply into, our Internet address got a bit, um, munged up overnight. And while the problem was fixed this morning, A Certain Cable Company – I mean, Broadband company’s servers are sticking to the bad nasty address for KTVZ.COM like glue.
So a sizable chunk of our online audience can’t see us, and I heard from a few – not a ton, but a few – today asking “what’s going on?” I sure wish I could fix it, or that our own techs could, but apparently it’s in the servers at this certain Cabl – I mean, Broadband company that our remaining issues lie.
And of course, technology frustrates you as well, perhaps even daily. Such is life in the 21st Century. 😉
Well thank goodness we have your blog keeping us informed of what is going on and hopefully we’ll have the website back soon too.
Thanks, Judey – it should be working tonight for you! If it’s not let us know, the BendBroadband issue was resolved by late this morning.
Barney,
I spoke with you on Thursday about still not being able to access KTVZ. You said the main problem you knew of was with Bend Broadband. I told you that was not my provider and you said you would let the tech guys know. Well this morning I have KTVZ back again. So thank you.
You’re welcome- what a week, I’ll be humbly apologizing to all on air tonight;-/
HI Barn,
As you know I am considering entering the blogosphere myself. When you start having these troubles I begin to wonder…hmmm is it worth the hassle? I want to go beyond my personal journaling. I want people to share their thoughts. I can hear the frustration and for reasons you know I have enough of that-doesn’t everyone? It’s a world based on fragile people and machines that we expect to work perfectly all the time. And that doesn’t change with older brothers!!!! Hang in there, Barn, more to share later. I don’t blame you, I bless you—
Brother blogger in training,
Rick
